Update again!

It's August 1st!!! 2013!

So many things have happened over the past year! WOW, I can hardly find the time to update any of my blogs! What a shame, since I have such awesome ones? LOL.. ya ya, whatever..

Anyway, I can hardly believe I can say.. after well over 10 years, I've finally met my friend Kelly { aka herbal! from yahoo pool..who woulda thunkit? }. So exciting! Jam's family have come to visit in Las Vegas, and also ventured here to LA too! Wow. Just last month I got to go hang out with Kelly and family in Vegas again, literally melted my shoes on the ground outside.. TOO flippin' hot.. but that's fine. We spent time in the pool & got to wander around and otherwise have a great time!

And now it's August 1st! In less than 2 weeks Kenny's going to start Kindergarden.. what?! Really?! Man! It's all flying by. At least this summer, despite our severe lack of funds, we've made wonderful use of our memberships to the Gardens & Zoo. Spent a lot of time outside, I really want Kenny to enjoy it before he gets into school with all the work & homework and what have you.. And in exactly 1 month, what will we be doing? Why Vegas of course! To meet some of Jam's family again. It's exciting especially since it's been SO long since we've seen everyone.

Then there is CL. I am having such a lovely time learning all about my friends there it's amazing. So many of us, different as can be, from all over the place & yet, we seem to have a great bunch! I am making it a goal of mine to meet everyone in the group! I would love to have a great retreat with these ladies one day, a big CL get-together type bash! One day, gotta stay positive.

My kid is going into SCHOOL!?!?!!?!!!.. It's fine.. 

Ok, back to updating the other blog a bit!

It was a nice day!

It was cool.. cold even. It was gray. The kind of day that makes you want to stay in your pjs and snuggle up with a good book, cup of hot tea or hot chocolate, and foster that warm fuzzy feeling.

It RAINED! On my way to work, I got to walk through the teeniest bit of drizzle. And while I was working it rained. By the time I got home it had stopped raining, but the beautiful gray sky & clouds where sticking around. I got to have lunch w/my boys, then Jamie was off to work. Bummer. But shortly there after was nap time, I thought I might just follow suit, but it never happened. Instead I web surfed for ideas. Christmas ideas even! Sad truth is, even though I am working, I get paid once every 5 weeks! I won't be able to get anything for anyone until like the first week of DECEMBER! Leave it to me to be shopping last minute.. Oh well.. better than not at all!

C'est la vie! Eh?

Well, I am in a good mood today. I'm going to relish this! Meanwhile I've got a Mexican/Italian "Meatloaf" in the oven.. with a yummy sauce to go on top in about 10 minutes. The rice is cooking and all I've got left to do is figure out what sorta veggies I want!

Also.. I need to create a Wishlist Doc for my ladies over at CL! It's the best group I've participated in. The ladies are great, the motivation is nice, & our projects & challenges have made it a fun place to check into! Wheeeeeeee! Secret Society is coming up.. boy oh boy, I can't wait!!!

It's FALL!!!!

Well.. It's most definitely that time again.. to make a post that is!

It's cool today, while these past 3 months I've not turned the AC off for hardly any time at all. The fans run 24hrs a day to provide some air movement in this place. But.. today.. No AC, no fans.. just an open window, that I had to close to barely a crack open!

It's wonderful!

Anyway, on life.. My little boy turned 4.. WOW.. how the heck do I have a 4yr old?! Just days later, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. I've been out of work until then! With the exception of my stint at the portrait studio, which doing sales for the first time, was interesting. Moreover, I enjoyed that part of it. I think because I was dealing with peoples memories & I am all about that. But alas, that job was seasonal. I got a text asking me to come back but.. I have recently started working part-time doing design & prepress.. I make twice what I made there. I think I'll keep this one! I wish the hours were more consistent, but what can I do?! Right now, it's what I need. And I'm beyond thankful to have it!

With the success of one of my FB groups.. CL, I created a blog to match it, I'm hoping it goes better than my other attempts at talking to myself. That's always been my issue, hard to commit when you are writing into thin air with nobody else reading. But it's different there, so I'm hopeful. So far I think it's going well! I love the ladies & I'm enjoying the group.

That's where life is right now.

I want to roast a turkey. It's perfect turkey roasting weather!

Ooops!

It's been so LONG! I know I am supposed to be doing MORE writing, but I've taken on so many different projects right now I can't keep up with anything! As soon as I get this last one fully under way, I will return for more posting!
